Titans Agree To Terms With Howard,
Deschenes Called Up To Philadelphia

TRENTON, N.J. – The Trenton Titans announced that they have agreed to terms with defenseman Steve Howard and that left wing Nick Deschenes has been recalled to Philadelphia of the American Hockey League. Trenton is the ECHL affiliate of Philadelphia of the AHL and Philadelphia of the National Hockey League.

The 6-0 and 195-pound Howard has 15 points (3g-12a) in 26 games with Huntsville of the Southern Professional Hockey League. In 2003-04, he played in the WHA2 with Macon and Miami, scoring 29 points (7g-22a) in 39 games, and in the South East Hockey League with Huntsville, registering three points in seven games.

Under contract to Philadelphia of the NHL, the 6-3 and 220-pound Deschenes has nine points (3g-6a) in 21 games with Trenton and has also played on game in the AHL with Philadelphia. In his rookie season in 2003-04, Deschenes played with both Trenton, scoring eight points (2g-6a) in 13 games, and in the AHL with Philadelphia of the AHL, scoring seven points (5g-2a) in 31 regular season games and also played one playoff game.
