Titans’ Allen Named Reebok Hockey
ECHL Saver Of The Week

PRINCETON, N.J. – Trenton goaltender Andrew Allen is the Reebok Hockey ECHL Saver of the Week for the conference finals of the 2005 Kelly Cup Playoffs. He was also named Reebok Hockey ECHL Saver of the Month for April.

Allen went 4-3 with a 2.01 goals-against average and a .924 save percentage while posting shutouts in Games 5 and 7 against Alaska, leading the Titans to the National Conference Championship.

After allowing three goals on five shots in a 6-0 loss at Alaska in Game 1, Allen made 22 saves in a 7-1 win in Game 2. After splitting back-to-back 4-3 overtime games, Allen had 21 saves in a 3-0 home win in Game 5, his first postseason shutout. The 29-year-old Allen made 30 saves in a 2-1 overtime loss at Alaska in Game 6 and came back in Game 7 to make 29 saves for his second shutout in a 2-0 win, helping Trenton reach the Kelly Cup Finals for the second time in five years.
