Titans’ Hayward Signs PTO With Providence

TRENTON, N.J. – The Trenton Titans have announced that forward Leon Hayward has signed a professional tryout contract with Providence of the American Hockey League.

In his first game with Providence on Saturday, Hayward scored the first goal in the Bruins 7-1 win at Portland. In seven games with Trenton, the 25-year-old Hayward had four points (3g-1a) and 30 penalty minutes.

In 2003-04, the 25-year-old Hayward played in the ECHL with Reading, scoring 12 points (9g-3a) in 23 regular season games and three points (2g-1a) in five Kelly Cup Playoff games, and in the American Hockey League with Manchester, scoring eight points (2g-6a) in 42 regular season games and one goal in six playoff games.
