The ECHL released its schedule for the 2005-06 season, and as expected, the Titans will be seeing plenty of their North Division opponents.
The Titans will begin the season by raising their Kelly Cup championship banner against the Wheeling Nailers, at 7 p.m. on Oct. 22 at Sovereign Bank Arena.
The pared-down six-team North Division will allow each team to play 12 games against teams in the division.
They also will see a few new faces in their 12-non division games during the season.
The Victoria Salmon Kings will be the first new guest to Sovereign Bank Arena when they visit Nov. 2. The South Carolina Stingrays will travel to Trenton Nov. 16.
Matt Thomas is sure to get a lively greeting from the Sovereign Bank Arena crowd when he comes in with his new team, the Fresno Falcons, Dec. 21. Thomas is the former coach of the Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies. He had several heated exchanges with Titans coach Mike Haviland during the Titans-Bullies rivalry.
The Titans will make two trips south during the season, playing the highly regarded Gwinnett Gladiators on both occasions.
The Titans are spared any extended road trips, with the longest being a five-game trip from Feb. 25 to March 4, all against North Division opponents.
