Toledo Receives Walsh From Griffins
Norfolk Assigns Maunu To Storm

TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo Storm announced that they have received forward Mike Walsh from the Grand Rapids Griffins of the American Hockey League and defenseman Mitch Maunu from the Norfolk Admirals of the AHL.

The Storm is the ECHL affiliate of the Griffins and the Admirals of the AHL and the Detroit Red Wings and the Chicago Blackhawks of the National Hockey League.

Selected in the fourth round (120th overall) by the Blackhawks in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft, the 20-year-old Maunu played the last four seasons in the Ontario Hockey League where he had 104 points (30g-74a) and 292 penalty minutes in 250 regular season games and eight points (3g-5a) and 34 penalty minutes in 29 playoff games with Windsor.

Selected in the fifth round (143rd overall) by the New York Rangers in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft, the 24-year-old Walsh played the last four seasons at the University of Notre Dame where he had 54 points (25g-29a) and 145 penalty minutes in 134 games from 2002-06.
