Trenton’s Kowalsky Named In Glas Co
ECHL Player Of The Week

PRINCETON, N.J. – Trenton right wing Rick Kowalsky is the In Glas Co ECHL Player of the Week for the second round of the 2005 Kelly Cup Playoffs.

The 6-1 and 195 pound Kowalsky scored in all four games against Reading and led Trenton in the North Division Finals with seven points (3g-4a), helping the Titans advance to the conference finals for the third time since 2000.

After scoring a goal in a 4-2 loss at Reading in Game 1, the 12-year veteran scored the decisive goal in Trenton’s 2-1 road win in Game 2. He had a goal and an assist in the Titans 3-2 overtime win in Game 3 and had three assists in Trenton’s 4-3 come-from-behind win in Game 4.

Kowalsky, who helped Trenton reach the Kelly Cup Finals in 2001, enters the National Conference Finals with a six-game scoring streak (4g-6a) and leads the Titans with four goals while his 10 points in seven games ties him for the team scoring lead.
