Utah’s Snetsinger Named Sher-Wood Hockey ECHL Player Of The Week

PRINCETON, N.J. – Brad Snetsinger of the Utah Grizzlies is the Sher-Wood Hockey ECHL Player of the Week for Nov. 8-14. 


Snetsinger had four goals and six points as the Grizzlies went 2-1-0 last week to move into first place in the Mountain Division with a 7-3-2 record for 16 points.


Snetsinger opened the week with three goals, including the game-winner and a shorthanded goal, in a 4-2 win over Bakersfield on Wednesday. He scored a goal and added an assist in a 4-3 loss to the Condors on Friday and ended the week with an assist in a 3-2 win against Bakersfield on Saturday.


The 23 year old leads the Grizzlies with seven goals, eight assists and 15 points in 12 games this season.


A native of Ajax, Ontario, Snetsinger scored 49 points (21g-28a) in 49 games with Trenton in 2008-09. He also appeared in 65 games with Lowell of the American Hockey League from 2008-10 scoring 19 points (6g-13a).


On behalf of Brad Snetsinger, a case of pucks will be donated to a Utah youth hockey organization by Sher-Wood Hockey, the exclusive puck supplier of the ECHL. Since beginning its sponsorship of the award in 2000-01, Sher-Wood Hockey has donated more than 23,000 pucks to youth hockey organizations in ECHL cities.
