Vancouver Reassigns Ellis To Salmon Kings

VICTORIA, British Columbia – The Victoria Salmon Kings announced that the Vancouver Canucks of the National Hockey League have reassigned All-Star rookie goaltender Julien Ellis from the Manitoba Moose of the American Hockey League to the Salmon Kings.

The Salmon Kings are the ECHL affiliate of the Canucks of the NHL and the Moose of the AHL.

Selected in the sixth round (189th overall) by Vancouver in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft and under NHL contract to the Canucks, the 21-year-old is 18-14-2 with a shutout, goals-against average of 3.31 and a save percentage of .910 in 34 games for Victoria and is 1-7-0 with goals-against average of 3.37 and a save percentage of .884 in eight games with Manitoba.
