NORFOLK, Va. – The Norfolk Admirals announced that the club has agreed to terms with center Michael Pelech for the 2015-16 season. Pelech previously played one game for the Admirals in the American Hockey League during the 2011-12 season.
The Admirals are the ECHL affiliate of the Edmonton Oilers of the National Hockey League and the Bakersfield Condors of the American Hockey League.
Pelech, 25, had 59 points (25g-34a) in 56 games for the Utah Grizzlies last season, his sixth as a pro. The 2009 sixth-round pick of the Los Angeles Kings has appeared in 374 ECHL contests and has totaled 277 points (87g-190a). He scored 35 points or more in five of six campaigns at the ECHL level and managed to find the net at least 10 times in each of those six seasons. A native of Toronto, the 6-foot-3 and 220-pounder registered two goals and four helpers in 34 AHL games for Rochester, Peoria, Connecticut, Worcester, Manchester, and one game with Norfolk.
