Victoria Receives All-Star Taylor From Panthers

VICTORIA, British Columbia – The Victoria Salmon Kings announced that ECHL All-Star right wing Adam Taylor, who led the team in scoring as a rookie in 2005-06 has been assigned to the team by the Florida Panthers of the National Hockey League.

The Salmon Kings, who are the ECHL affiliate of the Vancouver Canucks of the National Hockey League and the Manitoba Moose of the American Hockey League, retained the ECHL rights to the 22-year-old after he signed a two-way contract with the Panthers of the NHL and the Rochester Americans of the AHL.

Selected in the seventh round (224th overall) by the Carolina Hurricanes in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft, the 6-foot-1 and 200-pound Taylor played in all 72 regular season games and was 13th among league rookies with 57 points on a team-leading 38 assists and 19 goals.
