Vigier joins Walleye

Toledo, Ohio – Forward Stephan Vigier has agreed to terms with the Toledo Walleye for the 2015-16 season.

The Walleye are the ECHL affiliate of the Detroit Red Wings of the National Hockey League and the Grand Rapids Griffins of the American Hockey League.

Vigier joins the Walleye following his first professional in which he picked up 28 points (14g-14a) in 66 games with the Cincinnati Cyclones. The 25-year-old forward also had a brief stint of six games with the San Antonio Rampage of the AHL in which he collected a pair of assists.

A native of Notre Dame, Manitoba, Vigier made his professional debut with eight games at the end of the 2013-14 season with the South Carolina Stingrays posting six points (5g-1a).

In a four-year career at Northern Michigan University, Vigier picked up a total of 92 points (39g-53a) while appearing in 151 contests. He served as an assistant captain in each of his final two years with the Wildcats. In 2013-14, Vigier posted career highs with 16 goals, 17 assists and 33 points to lead Northern Michigan in scoring. Prior to his college career, the 5’9" 167 pound forward lit up the USHL scoring 97 points (44g-53a) in two seasons with Sioux City.
