Toledo, Ohio –The Toledo Walleye and head Coach Nick Vitucci announced today that forward Sal Peralta has agreed to terms with the club. In a separate move, the Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey League have assigned forward Christopher DiDomenico to the Walleye.
The Walleye are the ECHL affiliate of the Chicago Blackhawks and Detroit Red Wings of the National Hockey League and the Rockford IceHogs and Grand Rapids Griffins of the American Hockey League.
Peralta started the year with the Walleye, appearing in fifteen contests. Sal scored one goal with two assists. Last year, Peralta collected 19 points (10g-9a) in seventeen games with Toledo.
DiDomenico will be making his Walleye debut after appearing in 19 games this year with Rockford. Christopher was a member of the 2009 Gold Medal Winning Team Canada at the World Juniors. While playing in the QMJHL, he set a rookie record with 75 (25g-50a) points in 2006-07. DiDomenico has one assist this year with the IceHogs.
