READING, Pa. – The Reading Royals announced that right wing Dan Welch (pictured) has been assigned from Manchester of the American Hockey League and that forward Jon Francisco has been placed on seven-day injured reserve. Reading is the ECHL affiliate of Manchester of the AHL and Los Angeles of the National Hockey League.
The 24-year-old Welch scored 15 points (8g-7a) and had eight penalty minutes in 11 games with the Royals and 13 points (3g-10a) and 49 penalty minutes in 59 games with Manchester.
Francisco has 13 penalty minutes while playing in all seven playoff games for the Royals. He was the only Reading player to appear in all 72 regular season games, scoring 40 points (19g-21a).
