Petersen was even or better in 12 of 13 games during January. He was a +2 on six occasions including the final two games of the month. He scored 10 goals and assisted on 16 others during the month and was named ECHL Player of the Week for the week ending Jan. 30.
The 21 year old is third in the ECHL with a +19 rating this season, and sits second in the league with 57 points, fourth with 33 assists and tied for fifth with 24 goals.
