LAFAYETTE, La. – Blueline Hockey USA Inc. announced Thursday that Jim Wiley has been named vice president and general manager of the Louisiana IceGators. Wiley will oversee the day-to-day business operations for the ECHL team, effective immediately.
“Jim brings a great deal of experience and knowledge of the hockey business to the IceGators,” said ECHL Commissioner Brian McKenna. “His background in administration and understanding of the industry make him an ideal candidate to oversee the operation and represent Blueline’s interests in Lafayette.”
Blueline Hockey USA Inc., a corporation owned in part by ECHL Properties, LLC., has been appointed by the ECHL Board of Governors to operate Louisiana for the remainder of the season.
Wiley was awarded his master’s degree in athletic administration from the University of Tulsa and his bachelor’s degree in psychology and history from Lake Superior State University where he was on the dean’s list for four years.
