Winner announced in ECHL’s FAN-niversary Contest

The ECHL is pleased to announce that Brad Perkins of Evansville, Ind. is the winner of the ECHL’s 25th FAN-niversary Contest. Brad wins a trip for two to the 2013 ECHL All-Star Week, presented by CCM, in Loveland, Colo.

Brad is in his fourth season as a season-ticket holder for the Evansville IceMen, and has missed only two IceMen home games in five seasons. He also travels to many road games, travelling as far as eight hours. Brad and his wife were married on the ice during an intermission of an IceMen game three years ago, with the team mascot Blizzard serving as his best man.

“As exciting as it is to win this contest, it was just as exciting to be one of the finalists,” Perkins said. “Thank you to all of my friends, and to the IceMen and Komets fans, who voted and shared the link and video with all of their friends.”

“The IceMen organization is so excited that Brad won the FAN-niversary contest,” said IceMen Director of Promotions/Game Day Operations, Kara Hillstead. “Brad is an amazing fan, he gets the crowed pumped up, brings in new fans, helps promote the team, the list is endless. We are very lucky to have such a great supporter like Brad. He is just a great person all around.”

Fans in each of the League’s 23 markets had the opportunity to submit videos of themselves having “Top Shelf Fun” at an ECHL game, event, or out in their local community. The top seven submissions were entered into the League-wide contest, where fans from across the country determined the winner by voting through the ECHL’s Facebook page.
