BEAUMONT, Texas – The Texas Wildcatters announced that they have signed goaltender Jason Wolfe.
Acquired in a late-season trade with Bakersfield, the 27-year-old was 2-2-1 with a shutout in five games with the Wildcatters in 2004-05. He was 0-2-1 in three games with Bakersfield and 7-8-0 in 15 games with Mississippi.
In 2003-04 with Roanoke of the ECHL, Wolfe was 16-16-3 with a goals-against average of 3.35 and save percentage of .913 in 37 regular season games and 1-1 with a goals-against average of 3.53 and a save percentage of .943 in two Kelly Cup Playoff games. The 6-foot-5 and 230-pound Wolfe made a career-high 56 saves in Game 4 of the Southern Division Semifinals in the Kelly Cup Playoffs.
