DULUTH, Ga. – The Gwinnett Gladiators announced that defenseman Troy Milam has been assigned to the team by the Chicago Wolves of the American Hockey League.
The Gladiators are the ECHL affiliate of the Wolves of the AHL and the Atlanta Thrashers of the National Hockey League.
In his second professional season in 2004-05, the 25-year-old Milam, who was selected to the 2004 ECHL All-Star Game as a rookie, had 10 assists and eight penalty minutes in 19 games with Reading and 14 points (2g-12a) and 34 penalty minutes in 42 games with Manchester of the AHL.
In Gwinett’s inaugural season in 2003-04, Milam had 33 points (6g-27a) and 44 points in 60 regular season games and five assists in 10 Kelly Cup Playoff games while helping Gwinnett reach the conference finals. He also played in the AHL in 2003-04, scoring one goal in seven games with Manchester and two assists in 13 games with San Antonio.
