Nehring, 26, joins the Wranglers after spending last season with the Central Hockey League’s Arizona Sundogs. The 5-foot-11, 194-pound center recorded 33 goals and 24 assists during the regular season, and tacked on two more goals and an assist in the playoffs. The Springside, Saskatchewan native spent his rookie season (2011-12) with the Idaho Steelheads, posting 17 goals and 15 assists after coming to the team on an amateur try-out agreement at the end of the 2010-11 season.
Before turning pro, Nehring played four years (2007-11) at Lake Superior State University. Named alternate captain his senior year, he notched 30 goals and 23 assists in 147 games with the Lakers.
