Wranglers add rookie goaltender Fullerton

Las Vegas – The
Las Vegas Wranglers announced that rookie goaltender Travis Fullerton has agreed to terms with the team for the 2013-14 season.

Fullerton, 25, spent five years (2008-13) at the University of New Brunswick, most recently earning a 2.23 goals-against average and an .877 save percentage last season. The 6-foot-1, 180-pound goaltender won three Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS) championships with the Varsity Reds, hoisting the University Cup in 2009, 2011 and 2013. He then appeared in two games for the San Francisco Bulls in 2012-13 on an amateur try-out agreement, recording a 1.59 GAA and a .941 save percentage.

Prior to UNB, Fullerton played four seasons (2004-08) in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League and the Maritime Junior A Hockey League. The Riverview, New Brunswick native minded the net for the Lewiston MAINEiacs, Moncton Gagnon Beavers and Saint John Sea Dogs.
