Wranglers agree to terms with Irwin

Las Vegas – The
Las Vegas Wranglers announced that forward Geoff Irwin has agreed to terms with the team for the 2013-14 season.

Irwin, 28, made his ECHL debut with the Idaho Steelheads in 2009-10, recording two assists in eight games. The 5-foot-11, 185-pound forward then posted 13 goals and 12 assists with the team next season, and was voted the Steelheads’ “Unsung Hero” by his teammates. Irwin last played for the Ontario Reign in 2011-12, and the alternate captain tallied 19 goals and 29 assists during the regular season with another three goals tacked on in five playoff games.

Originally from Victoria, British Columbia, Irwin spent four years (2006-10) at Minnesota State University–Mankato. In 143 games, he collected 32 goals and 52 assists, and was named team captain his senior year.
