LAS VEGAS – The Las Vegas Wranglers ® announced that they have agreed to terms with defenseman Gerry Burke.
The Wranglers are the ECHL affiliate of the Calgary Flames of the National Hockey League and the Quad City Flames of the American Hockey League.
The 6-foot-3 and 220-pound Burke led Toledo defensemen in 2006-07 with eight goals, 26 assists and 34 points while tying for the team lead in plus-minus rating with +10 in 72 regular season games. He led Storm defensemen in the Kelly Cup Playoffs with two assists and two points in three games and also played two games in the AHL with Grand Rapids.
Selected to play in the ECHL All-Star Game, the 25 year old finished second among Toledo defensemen with with 25 points (8g-17a) in 68 regular season games and had four points (2g-2a) in 13 Kelly Cup Playoff games in 2006-07 while also having two penalty minutes in four games in the AHL with Peoria.
