PRINCETON, N.J. – Sebastien Centomo is the Reebok Hockey ECHL Saver of the Week for January 3-9.
Under contract to Calgary of the National Hockey League, the 6-1 and 196-pound Centomo went 2-0-0 with a shutout, a 1.50 goals-against average and a save percentage of .951 as Las Vegas went 3-0-0. Centomo earned his second shutout of the season on January 7, stopping all 29 shots he faced in a 3-0 win against Peoria, which entered the game with a 5-0-1 record against the West Division. Making his second start in as many nights against the Rivermen, Centomo made 29 saves in a 4-3 win on January 8 as Las Vegas won its fifth consecutive game.
In his first season with the Wranglers, the 23-year-old Centomo is 9-5-2, including a 5-3-2 record in one-goal games, with a goals-against average of 2.37 and a save percentage of .937.
