Wrenn returns to hometown Aces

ANCHORAGE, Alaska – The Alaska Aces announced that defenseman William Wrenn has signed a contract with the club for the 2015-16 season.

The 24-year-old native of Anchorage rejoins the Aces after playing for the club during the 2012-13 season when he was named to the ECHL All-Star Game. He played in 51 games with Alaska, scoring 21 points (5g-16a) before being loaned to Worcester of the American Hockey League, where he appeared in three games, before finishing the season with Texas of the AHL. Wrenn spent the entire 2013-14 season with Texas before splitting last season between the Stars and Idaho Steelheads.

Before beginning his professional career, Wrenn played with the U.S. National Team Development Program in Ann Arbor, Mich., the University of Denver of the WCHA and the Portland Winterhawks of the Western Hockey League.
